I Lost a Dog Once… and I Never Wanted to Feel That Again

This is just a quick personal post about my dog, a childhood memory that stuck with me, and why I ended up trying Furthrive GPS.

Hi — I’m Sarah. Today I wanted to share my experience with Furthrive GPS and my dog, Milo.

My schedule can get pretty hectic, and sometimes I even hire a neighbour to take Milo out for a walk if I’m running late. And because it’s basically just the two of us, I’m the kind of person who worries about the “what ifs” more than I’d like to admit.

My biggest fear is something simple: a distraction, a clip not fully locked, or him slipping out in a split second and bolting. It sounds dramatic… until you’ve lived through it.

When I was little, I lost my dog in a park. We only found him four days later, thanks to a friend of my mum who recognized him. I still remember how sick I felt during those days.

That memory never really left me — so honestly, whoever came up with the idea behind Furthrive has my gratitude. Not because it’s “magic”, but because it’s one of those practical things that can give you a bit more peace of mind.

The setup was easier than I expected. It felt straightforward, and it sat comfortably on Milo. He didn’t fuss with it, didn’t try to pull it off — after a few minutes, he acted like it wasn’t even there.

Two details that made me feel extra comfortable trying it:
  • The 30-day guarantee gave me that “okay, I can actually test this properly” feeling. I liked knowing I had a reasonable window to see if it fit our routine.
  • The shipping was genuinely quick for me. I expected it to take a while, but it showed up sooner than I thought.

One more personal detail: Milo actually has a brother and a sister. His brother lives with my brother, and his sister is with my mum — so I grabbed the 3-pack. It just made sense for our little “family” setup.

My brother is a runner, and his dog Cooper runs alongside him. Before this, my brother used to keep Cooper on a long line because one time he took off after a car and my brother completely panicked (laughs).

He’s still careful (especially near roads), but he told me he feels more relaxed now on quieter trails — and that has been better for both of them.

Also, just sharing what I did: I bought mine on the official website, and everything arrived exactly as expected. I’d seen a few comments from people who ordered from random listings and worried they might have received a different or “not official” unit — so I’m leaving the official website I used here for convenience.

Anyways, I only wanted to share a brief story here — nothing fancy. If you’re curious, the official checkout page is where you’ll see the current options, shipping info, and the guarantee details for Canada.

When I last checked, they had a pretty solid discount running, and for me it felt worth it — mainly for the peace of mind.

Final thoughts: I hope you enjoyed my little update. I genuinely loved my experience — and I feel like Milo is simply more secure now. That alone has helped me breathe a bit easier.
